Gallery X presents the Annual 'X-treme X-teriors' exhibit. The one day event takes place at Marcus Garvey Park and features two- and three-dimensional works, objects, site-specific and multi-media installations and performance art. This event is free and open to the public. Most of the artists are available on site and some perform their works with the interaction of the viewers. At the amphi-theater's stage, there are painting and dancing activities available for everyone, especially for the children, as others wander around the park to see and experience the works.

MARCUS GARVEY PARK Madison Avenue between 120 -124th Streets. By subway: 2/3 to 125th St. at Lenox Avenue (Malcolm X Blvd.) or 4/5/6 to 125th Street at Lexington Avenue.

Marcus Mosaih Garvey (1887-1940) was an African-American nationalist leader who promoted racial pride and African-American economic independence. Even though the park's natural, forested rock outcropping has been preserved, a number of architectural elements have been added over time. A Fire Watchtower, equipped with a 10,000 pound bell by Jones & Hitchcock, was designed by Julius Kroel and erected in 1855-57.
